Fruit of our Harvest

Lately, we've been raiding our garden of these tasty treats.  Our snap peas and strawberries are keeping our tummy's full.  This years crop of strawberries is larger, with much larger fruit. Even though they are smaller than the ones you buy in the store, their flavor is so much sweeter...super delicious!  Soooo, glad I chose to plant snap peas because the girls gobble them up like candy.  Every day I find the girls hanging over the garden with strawberry stained mouths and pea shells scattered around their feet
How sweet it is!!

Other tasty treats we're looking forward to:
Peaches, Pomegranates, Zuchini, Yellow Onions, Tomatoes, possibly a Watermelon, and PUMPKINS!

Two weekends

Who knew we'd be having Kimmie as a guest two weekends ago.  It was such a wonderful surprise!  The weather was cold and rainy but we made it fun anyway.  We drove through snow canyon and looked for turtles and watched some free climbers.  Taya called out to entice the turtles saying "Hey turtle turtle turtle...". Since it wasn't warm enough to eat our picnic lunch outside, we threw down a blanket on our bedroom floor and ate it there.  The following day was spent at home with a sick Halle.  We didn't mind much because at least we had Kimmie to make us laugh and feel like we were on vacation.

This last Saturday was the Ford Ironman here in St. George.  Oh, what an event!  I spent 6 hours volunteering at a running aid station at mile 1.2.  Our table was in charge of handing out Coke.  I couldn't imagine runners wanting Coke, but we ended up being one of the busiest stations.  Coke helps settle tummy's and gives a little extra boost.  We were set up in the middle of diagonal street with the bike lane behind us and two lanes of runners in front of us.  I met some great people and enjoyed every minute of it.  The athletes came from all over the world to compete in the most difficult course (St. George), next to Kona, Hawaii's.
