Volunteer Opportunity

How cool is this?
I just signed up today to be a volunteer at a running aid station.  The race is May 1st!
The fact that anyone can put their body through such torture and live through it is INCREDIBLE!

I can't wait to watch.

Spring yet? Of course, it's St. George!

Dogwood Tree...Wish these grew here

I love how spring comes early here in Utah's warm little bubble.  I actually saw buds on my trees, yep... keeping tabs on buds.

Things on my To Do List:
  • Finish winter pruning
  • Spray Volck Oil on my peach tree (No way are those dang, ~always pregnant~ aphids getting us again!)
  • Preen (weed seed killer) on EVERYTHING
  • Chop bottom half of Desert Spoon - anyone want to volunteer to prune a cactus?
  • Prepare veggie garden for planting early spring veggies like onions, cabbage, spinach, and radishes
  • Get Taya some garden gloves.  Kim gave us some gloves for Halle when she was born.  She used them last year for the first time.  Love gardening with the girls!

Co-Op / Down to one / "Soup"er Bowl

Friday was the Boulter's turn to babysit the kids in our Babysitting Co-Op.  It was a little different this time around because Brandon happened to be out of town (aah huh...) and all the kids plus two more showed up.  Lucky for me I had Sarah, Kaitlyn, and Scarlett to help me out.  My thought is, anyone can last 3 hours watching 9 kids.  And we didn't only last, we had tons of fun doing it.  At the end of the night the 3 teenagers were pooped, I was pooped and my kids were pooped.  Sleep came very easy afterward so a thanks goes out to the kids for that!

Well, I DID cry my eyes out.  I tried to be strong...but it didn't last.  My baby Ellie Bell is gone.  She met her new family on Saturday and drove home with them instead of us.  The Morgans really fit the mold we invisioned for our little Ell Bell, so we couldn't have asked for more.  The Morgans have a 2 1/2 acre lot, another Beagle named Mondo, and three kids in their tweens.  When we met them they ran to her with open arms and were so excited to finally meet her.  And Bella Boo of course was happy for the new attention.

We spent the rest of the day hang'n with Brenda, Shara, and kids who were down from SLC.  It was great to get our minds off the situation and just play.  We went to Jumping Jacks and then sat in front of the Wii playing Boom Blox for hours (nasty little game).

Today we received some pictures from the Morgans.  She seems pretty spoiled, what do you think?

This year for us, there was no huge hype over the Super Bowl.  I think our plans were made definite about an hour before kick off.  We met at Mr. B's and had homemade Chicken & Cheese Soup in soup bowls (our traditional Super Bowl meal) and enjoyed the game.  It was low key but very enjoyable.
